Pre requisites for the Course
I already hold a Class 2 licence, how can I upgrade to Class 1?
If you plan to undertake fault finding tasks, you must advise Energy Safe that you require a Class 1 Restricted Electrical Worker’s Licence that includes fault finding.
To apply to upgrade your Class 2 licence to a Class 1 licence you must make an application via which will request the following documents.
• A copy of your trade qualifications
• VBA and ARCTICK Registrations (front and back)
• A letter from your employer describing the work you intend to carry out under this licence, including the fault finding function
• The unit UEERL00005 (or other fault finding unit of competence as listed above) and a Practical Assessment as required by Energy Safe
Before starting your enrolment process, we observe the participants for any signs of difficulty in completing the test. The aim of this assessment is to ensure that we confirm the learning needs of our participants prior to commencement of the training.
